A personal manifest, in which I wish to express your support as well
As an 80yr old capt, I am sailing my expedition yacht "Mae West" through the changing Arctic for more than 15 years.
The Arctic is my second Home.
Can’t sail through the Arctic anymore, indifferent for today’s threats with my hands in my pockets, just like that.
The great powers of the world are competing for presence in the Arctic.
The “deal”between Trump and Europe is not worth a dime. The big powers do the best they can to spread confusement in Greenland and the rest of the world. Digital media create disaproval about Greenland local government, disaproval about Denmark, NATO and Europe.
First Action: Collect donations to fund an US Arctic Ocean Science Research Project that has been torpeded since the US autocrats have strangled US universities. I wish to make it work in 2027.
